Annual Picnic & Dessert Auction

Thank you to everyone who came out to the Elkins City Park pavilion on Thursday, September 17 for our annual picnic and dessert auction. Neighbors filled the tables with side dishes, the pulled pork came off the smoker, and the bidding on pies, cakes, and cookies put money to work right here in Randolph County.

Looking Back

The art of political posters

Thank you to everyone who came by headquarters on Friday, September 4 for The Art of Political Posters, part of Downtown Elkins' Art First Friday. The walls held decades of posters that moved people to act, from Shirley Chisholm's campaign to Vietnam-era peace prints, and the make-your-own table stayed busy all evening.

An afternoon with Mother Jones

Thank you to everyone who filled the Randolph County Community Arts Center on Sunday, August 30 for an afternoon with Mary Harris "Mother Jones," brought to life by performer Karen Vuranch. A century on, the woman they called the most dangerous woman in America can still hold a room. Cookies, coffee, and a long line of questions afterward.

Looking Back

Our new headquarters

Thank you to everyone who came out Thursday, August 27 for the Open House at our new headquarters, 117 Third Street in downtown Elkins. A full room of neighbors, a table of food, candidate signs on every wall, and a lot of good talk about November. The doors stay open, so stop in any time.

Pride in the Park

Thank you to everyone who joined us Saturday, June 27 at Elkins City Park to celebrate community and belonging. It was a day of neighbors, a bake sale, and brand-new Pride T-shirts, with all ages, all people, all heart. Here's a look back.

Democracy Dinner 2026

Thank you to everyone who joined us June 13 at the Wingate in Elkins for our biggest night of the year: a room full of neighbors, good food, great speakers, and a shared celebration of democracy. Here's a look back.

Looking Back

Dessert Auction 2025

Neighbors, homemade sweets, and a little friendly bidding to support the work. Thank you to everyone who baked, showed up, and raised a paddle. Here's a look back.
